Architectural illumination of the Santa Lucía building - Seville

The Santa Lucía building, located in the heart of Seville, presented a technical and aesthetic challenge in its exterior ornamental lighting. The previous system, based on linear lighting installed in windows, was suffering constant deterioration due to the passage of pedestrians and users, affecting both the durability and the visual impact of the building at night. We were faced with the need to offer an efficient, durable and aesthetically pleasing architectural solution that would respect the original architecture of the building and eliminate points of conflict in busy areas.

Solutions and Applied Technology

Our proposal consisted of a completely redesigned lighting solution, avoiding the placement of luminaires in passages and windows. To this end, different products from our catalogue were integrated, adapted to the needs of the environment. The system was designed and supplied with factory dimming at 30% power, allowing subsequent adaptation on site according to real requirements. Although a specific control system was not incorporated, the approach allows for easy future integration.

Results

The new lighting has transformed the night-time perception of the Santa Lucía building, enhancing its architecture with a clean, harmonious and glare-free effect. The durability of the system has been substantially improved by eliminating physical impact points and efficient lighting has been achieved without the need for complex control systems. The project has been executed in collaboration with the builder and the local warehouse, thus consolidating an integral solution in which design, efficiency and aesthetics go hand in hand. This intervention not only improves the immediate urban environment, but also reinforces the building’s identity within the Seville nightscape.
