In the constant search for efficient and sustainable solutions for road lighting, technology is advancing by leaps and bounds.
In environments where flexible and versatile lighting solutions are needed, without the need to modify the external appearance of the luminaires, adaptive or universal optical groups or optical blocks, with LED technology, are the ideal solution, achieving energy savings of 60% and improving the quality of light.
What are Adaptive Optical Groups?
Adaptive Optical Groups are lighting systems designed to be compatible with a wide variety of road luminaires on the market, complying with all the required public lighting regulations.
Their distinctive feature is that they allow the quick and efficient replacement of conventional lamps in existing luminaires with LED technology, which is particularly relevant after the current restrictions in the manufacture of discharge lamps in the sector.
Advantages of Adaptive Optics
The main benefits of this solution can be summarised in the following key points:
- Energy Efficiency: By combining LED technology with dimming schemes, we achieve precise control of light intensity according to schedules. This translates into significant savings in electricity costs for municipalities and local authorities.
- Improved Safety: The adjusted direction and distribution of light contributes to more effective illumination in critical areas, improving safety for pedestrians and drivers.
- Design Versatility: Universal designs that can be easily adapted to traditional Fernandino or Villa lanterns.
- Easy and quick installation: Minimises the time and cost of replacement and operation of the installation.
Prilux y sus Grupos Ópticos Universales
Prilux and its Universal Optical Groups Prilux offers different solutions of Optical Groups for Villa and Fernandino type lanterns.
The Villa Universal Optical Group adapts to luminaires of this style that are in good condition and can guarantee internal watertightness.
Villa and Fernandino Universal Optical Group IP66
It is specially designed for luminaires of this type whose conditions do not guarantee the internal watertightness of the electronic components.
Depending on the model, we have an IP66 watertightness rating on the external face and even IP67, and an impact protection rating of up to IK10. It adapts effortlessly to environments of up to +50ºC ambient temperature, satisfactorily fulfilling the tests of our laboratory in a classic lantern.
With an efficacy of up to 144lm/W, 12 LED modules are available for all models and 24 and 32 LED modules for the Villa Universal Optical Group.
They fit lanterns between 300mm and 400mm diameter for Fernandino type lanterns and between 312mm and 408mm for Villa type lanterns.
Compatible with the most common locking systems on the market:
By hinge and height adjustment of the optical block by means of lateral screws for Fernandino type lanterns.
2.- Closing with independent dome adjusted by means of a bridge and threaded rod.
3.- Resting on frame by means of adjustable fins.
Our Optical Groups comply with the requirements of the IDEA and the CEI, and with R.D. 1890/2008 (Regulation on energy efficiency of outdoor lighting). Their optical compartment complies with
They have Prilux CMR technology CMR technology (Cora Manager Ready) which allows integration with our CORA MANAGER control system and UNIO remote management platform for remote control from the control panel over the lighting line, allowing a record of consumption and the possibility of remote reprogramming of the dimming curves.
Conclusion
Adaptive Optical Groups represent a simple, fast and sustainable solution for street lighting. These systems not only improve safety and energy efficiency, but also simplify installation and maintenance.
