The city of Toledo is getting ready to shine this Christmas, and Prilux, a leading company in decorative and festive lighting solutions from Toledo, will be in charge of making Christmas magic come true in the city. Through its Prilux eConcept division, the company has been selected to design, manufacture and set up all the lighting elements that will transform the imperial city into a great visual spectacle. Following the award of the Christmas lighting contract to Elsamex Gestión de Infraestructuras S.L., Prilux has been chosen as the company responsible for carrying out this project that will fill the streets of Toledo with light and colour.
New creations and advanced technology
All the lighting installed this year has been manufactured entirely by Prilux at its facilities in the Toledo Industrial Estate. Among the most outstanding elements is a large Christmas ball 10 metres high, two metres more than last year’s, which will be located in the emblematic Plaza de Zocodover and will have a lighting system synchronised to music. Prilux’s advanced technology, as a manufacturer of street lighting and control systems, makes it possible to remotely manage the tunnel lights, the Christmas ball and other decorative elements through the UNIO eConcept platform. This intelligent system optimises management time, reduces operating and maintenance costs, and promotes efficiency and sustainability in each installation.
Commitment to sustainability and innovation
With more than 35 years of experience in the sector, Prilux not only stands out for the quality of its products, but also for its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. Thanks to its advanced control systems and the use of LED technology, the Toledo installation will be highly efficient, reducing energy consumption and minimising environmental impact without sacrificing the spectacular nature of the decorations.
A special Christmas for Toledo
The official switching on of the lights, scheduled for 22 November, will kick off a Christmas that promises to be special for the people of Toledo and for the thousands of tourists who will visit the city. José Vicente García Toledano, Councillor for Festivities, highlighted the importance of having Prilux for this project, underlining that ‘the technology and innovative design provided by Prilux will make Toledo look stunning’.
Statements
Carlos Pretel Recio, CEO of Prilux, expressed his pride in lighting his hometown: ‘For us, lighting Toledo is more than a job; it is a real honour. We are a company from Toledo that employs around 200 people, and we are thrilled to bring the spirit and magic of Christmas to our city, the same city that we have lit in so many other parts of the world. This project is a way of sharing with our people the passion and dedication that we put into each design’.
For his part, Óscar Fañanás, Product Manager for Control Systems at Prilux, explained what advanced technology brings: ‘With the UNIO platform and the CORA eConcept device, we can manage the decorative lighting remotely and efficiently, which provides flexibility and a significant reduction in operating and maintenance costs. This system allows us to adjust and customise lighting effects precisely, adapting to any space to create attractive visual environments. This year, Toledo will feature a technology that stands out for its innovation, dynamism and commitment to sustainability’.
