Modern and sustainable lighting - Paseo Marítimo El Rompidillo in Rota (Cádiz)
The El Rompidillo promenade, one of the busiest and most emblematic areas of Rota, required a complete renovation of its exterior lighting to improve safety, energy efficiency and the experience of citizens and visitors. With this project, the old electrical installations have been replaced by an advanced LED lighting system, aligned with urban sustainability standards.
Results and Benefits
Thanks to the implementation of LED technology and intelligent remote management, we have achieved more efficient and uniform lighting, reducing energy consumption and improving visibility along the entire promenade. The new lighting not only provides greater safety and comfort for pedestrians and cyclists, but also enhances the aesthetics of the environment, highlighting its tourist appeal and reducing light pollution. Furthermore, integration with Rota’s Smart City platform allows for optimized remote management, adjusting light levels according to real needs and maximizing energy savings.

Technology and Products Used
For this project, 93 ARISA ROAD, NANTES PLAY and NANTES XL PLAY luminaires have been installed, together with 670 meters of IMAGINE PROFLEX 4000K, providing high quality lighting with a modern and efficient design. All the luminaires have point-to-point remote management via a LoRaWAN communication system with NEMA 7 nodes, which allows real-time monitoring and precise control of each light point, ensuring intelligent and sustainable management of street lighting.
